Michael Zide, B.A.
Instructor

Michael joined Hallmark Institute in 2004 after a successful career in commercial and wedding photography. After graduating from the University of Southern California, Michael moved to New England. On Martha's Vineyard Island, Michael taught the art of black and white landscape photography while creating a body of work that has been featured in galleries from New York City to Los Angeles. His landscape work from the Vineyard and Western U.S. is in private, corporate, and museum collections. Commercial clients include Polaroid, Sinar Bron, Schneider Lens, Millers Professional Imaging, Graphistudios and Newsweek, to name a few. Recently he was selected to the "Legion of Honor" by the Moab fine art printing paper company. Michael's landscape work has been widely published in such magazines as Black and White, Silvershotz, Today's Photographer, and Photo/Design. Now living in Amherst, MA, he continues to freelance commercially and shoots weddings for select clients while sharing his experience with aspiring Hallmark students.
