After receiving his B.A. from Bard College in 1991, Paul entered the publishing industry, moving from local newspaper publishing to national magazine design for Disney Publishing and Ziff-Davis. A stint as a technology journalist followed, writing for publications such as Wired Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, and Salon.com. In the late '90s Bissex co-founded and served as Director of a regional computer training business and trained close to a thousand professionals in design, productivity, and internet applications. In late 2000, he launched E-Scribe.com, a web development consultancy specializing in complex database-powered websites. His hybrid role at Hallmark, as Instructor in Web Design and Director of Software Development, is a natural extension of his broad career experience. |
