Final Portfolio ReviewThursday, May 21st – Friday, June 12thThe Year-end Portfolio Review process is the culmination of a student's 10-month professional photography training at Hallmark. During the Portfolio Review process, the review panel will critically analyze each individual student portfolio to determine whether or not it possesses the necessary technical and artistic skills to qualify the student for employment in field of professional photography and imaging. Each student will receive in-depth commentary from the panelists as to the areas of strength and weakness represented in his or her portfolio. Upon successful completion of the year-end portfolio process, the student qualifies for a Certificate of Completion from Hallmark. An announcement identifying the members of the 2009 Portfolio Review Panel is forthcoming. This event is open only to family members of the Class of 2009, alumni, members of the photographic profession, and applicants and enrollees of the Class of 2010. Arts and BloomsSaturday, May 16th – Sunday, May 17thThe Arts and Blooms Artist Studio Walking Tours (10 a.m. - 4 p.m. each day) is the final event of the Crabapple Blossom Festival in Turners Falls. Free self-guided Turners Falls Historical Walking Tour booklets, Geological Walking Tour Booklets, and lists of area attractions will be available at the Carnegie Library and the Great Falls Discovery Center.
