Hallmark University is doing its part to help solve the critical shortage of nurses in the San Antonio area, with its launch of its new Vocational Nursing (VN) program. Classes scheduled to commence in 2024, potential students can now apply for this groundbreaking program at Hallmarkuniversity.edu.
Dr. Pamela Moreno, the Dean of Nursing at Hallmark University, emphasized the significance of the program in addressing the local healthcare industry’s growing demand for highly skilled nursing professionals. “There is a significant shortage of nurses in the San Antonio area, and our goal with this new program is to help local hospitals and healthcare providers meet the demand for highly skilled nursing professionals.” explained Dr. Moreno.
The 12-month VN program, set to admit a maximum of 30 students in its inaugural run, offers multiple start dates in 2024 and has no prerequisites, making it accessible to a broad range of potential nursing students. Designed to provide students with a comprehensive nursing education, the program includes hands-on training in simulation labs and facilities, mirroring real hospitals and modern healthcare environments.
Hallmark University, renowned for its accelerated nursing programs that align with the pace of the healthcare industry, is committed to producing nurses who excel in stressful and dynamic healthcare environments. Joe Fisher, President of Hallmark University, stated, “Employers seek nurses who are not only qualified but can also excel in stressful and dynamic healthcare environments. Applications for the Vocational Nursing Program are now open, and prospective nursing students are encouraged to apply at Hallmarkuniversity.edu.
