Helping Aviation by Helping Others
Richard Fessler’s passion for aviation education began with his dedication to helping others. Before Hallmark University was founded in 1969, Richard and his wife frequently traveled to South America via non-commercial aircraft to help those in need. Richard quickly understood that a firm understanding of avionics and aviation maintenance management was necessary for the success of his mission trips. The experience he gained maintaining and repairing aircraft eventually lead to the founding of Hallmark Aero-Tech at Stinson Municipal Airport in San Antonio. The school was founded on the core mission to teach individuals aircraft maintenance through hands-on education with an emphasis on strong character development. Under Richard’s leadership and guidance, Hallmark Aero-Tech has grown into Hallmark University which continues to uphold the original core mission but has expanded its service to include helping individuals succeed in business, information technology, and healthcare, in addition to aeronautics.
