Baptist Health Foundation Awards Grant to Hallmark University
On August 31, 2017, the Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio awarded Hallmark University a $5,000 healthcare education scholarship grant. The foundation, incorporated on September 16, 2004, serves to fund “not-for-profit healthcare services and education throughout Bexar County and contiguous counties in South Texas.” Hallmark University is one of the foundation’s educational partnering institutions.
According to their website, “The Foundation strives to become a philanthropic change-agent leader whose grants will make a difference in meeting the vast unmet healthcare needs in our region. We join with our distinguished funding partners in ‘Improving the Health of Our Community.’” In 2016 alone, the foundation awarded $5,704,149 in grants to nonprofit healthcare service providers and educational institutions, and has awarded 880 grants totaling $61,173,052 since 2005.
