Congressman Will Hurd, former CIA operative, was the featured speaker at the First Voice Luncheon held at Alamo Toyota in San Antonio. Congressman Hurd started the discussion by detailing his prior educational experiences, which included a study-abroad business program and Texas A&M University, followed by his work with the Central Intelligence Agency as an undercover operative. The congressman is currently the Chairman of the Information Technology Subcommittee under the umbrella of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
At the First Voice Luncheon, Congressman Hurd discussed the importance of information technology programs in higher education and fielded questions during a Q&A forum. As Chairman of the Information Technology Subcommittee, Hurd continues to work with fellow congressmen and federal organizations to stimulate productive growth of information technology programs in public schools and higher education.
