In a significant development, the School of Information Technology is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Robert A. Massie, affectionately known as Dr. RAM, as Program Chair.
Dr. RAM brings a formidable wealth of IT expertise and a vast professional background to his new role. With over 26 years of dedicated service at USAA, he has excelled as both a Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, showcasing his commitment to the field. At Hallmark University he has held the role of IT Instructor.
His academic credentials are equally impressive, boasting a Doctorate in Computer Science from Colorado Technical University, a Master of Science in Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Applied Management from St. Mary’s University.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. RAM is an avid music lover who teaches and plays piano. Performed with the San Antonio Symphony Master Singers for several years. He has been married for over 26 years and has a daughter. His life’s goal was to always be an educator.
The department is enthusiastic about the valuable contributions Dr. RAM is expected to bring to the role, leveraging his extensive knowledge and experience for the benefit of the school. This appointment marks a significant step forward for the university and underscores its commitment to fostering excellence in information technology.
