Based on FAA data from January 1st, 2013 to December 31, 2014, Hallmark University was ranked as one of the top 10 schools in the nation with an 88% FAA exam pass rate and had more students pass FAA examinations than any other school in Texas.

To participate in the FAA examinations, each individual is required to attend an FAA-approved school and earn a degree or meet the alternative FAA requirements. The College of Aeronautics at Hallmark University provides a number of paths to earning an aviation maintenance degree allowing students to choose a program that best fits their schedule and personal needs.  Students have the option to pursue a bachelor’s, associate’s, and diploma-level degree with classes and labs during the day as well as at night. On average, students complete a program in 15 months to 23 months, then become eligible to take the FAA certification exams and receive their FAA aviation technician license.

Accountable & Responsible

Although great efforts are made to help Hallmark aviation maintenance students prepare for the FAA examinations, the College of Aeronautics faculty and staff heavily focus on shaping each student into a great asset for their future employer.

“Great people come from Hallmark… They teach the accountability and responsibility required of mechanics. [Graduates] know what needs to be done and come to work to get things done”

– Chris Provencio, General Manager of Textron Aviation

A number of aviation maintenance servicers, like Textron Aviation which builds and maintains the Cessna, Hawker & Beechcraft fleet, repair aircraft 24 hours a day, requiring a number of agile aviation maintenance technicians like former College of Aeronautics student Octavio Rogue. Since graduating from Hallmark University College of Aeronautics and earning his FAA Airframe & Powerplant license, Octavio has excelled as a Cessna aircraft maintenance technician.

“I like the pressure and challenge. It’s motivating. I am really confident in the quality of my work. If it wasn’t for Hallmark and Cessna giving me that scholarship I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

-Octavio Rogue, Cessna Aviation Technician
