Stan Younger Pledge’s $30k in Scholarships to College of Aeronautics Graduates
Stan Younger, the Vice President of the Western Region Division for Constant Aviation, has pledged to provide $30,000 in scholarships to graduates of Hallmark University’s Airframe & Powerplant program over the next ten years. The award will support recipients in the early stages of their new careers by providing funding for future testing vouchers or sets of tools as they begin in their new field. The first set of recipients have been chosen for the Spring 2019 Commencement ceremony and will be announced as graduates walk the stage.
“It is our honor to be able to give back to a community and an industry that has done so much for our family,” said Stan Younger, Vice President of the Western Region Division for Constant Aviation. “Hallmark has been producing excellent technicians for 50 years, and we are excited to join them as they change so many young lives by helping them achieve a technical skill so badly needed.”
Stan Younger has worked in the aviation industry for over twenty-five years and worked closely with Hallmark University during that time. Stan had a significant role in the establishment of the original “Bright Lights” scholarship, which benefited students coming out of the San Antonio city’s equivalent to Hallmark University’s Aero CHI program and provided four top graduates with scholarship funds and a career with Cessna after graduation. The Younger family understand the need for skilled aircraft technicians in today’s modern world and are proud to support Hallmark University’s graduates as they begin their new careers in aviation.
“We are grateful for partners like Stan who has spent his career working to improve and support those around him,” said Joe Fisher, President, and CEO of Hallmark University. “This recent pledge, aimed at helping recent graduates transition into their career is just another example of that.”
Recipients of the Younger Family Bright Lights Scholarship are chosen based on their academic standing, attendance records, and a review of the seven character traits Hallmark University develops in every student. Recipients of the award are also eligible to a $7,500 scholarship from Hallmark University to apply towards their Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management degree should they choose to pursue it after graduation.
